Great work sir! character acting was a lot of fun to watch and I really like the premise here; makes me wish for more!

Aaron-Long responds:

You're in luck, there's more on the way!

Hahah, a long while in the making, but really glad to see this up at last and with a cool bunch of variety.
It's been a while without checking a good'old menu-based flash collab (other than the anniversary one, of course ;)) , with classic flash buttons and easter eggs; takes me back to around 2007!

Thanks for helping out Butzbo!

Pretty cool results! also I really like how the dog can move like some kind of worm at some points; The more simple linework does a pretty good job telling the story; makes me want to experiment with this kind of limited time frames! :)

aap responds:

Thanks Butzbo! I would definitely recommend making animations in such a short time, it's a great exercise and a lot of fun.

Superb, really fun characters, and a well put together story!
It had me wondering what was happening towards the end and it actually had some suspense when you still don't know how things started working all of the sudden.
It also had some fun details, like how the one-arm-guy keeps having these shinings things even after getting a new arm, hahah!

aap responds:

Thanks! It's nice to know people didn't see the ending coming. Also good to hear you notice little details like that because I love to put those in my animations!

Superb!, While I still missed some kind of symbolic correlation between the objects, it was cool to watch, SPECIALLY the last machines which had all those constructions lines around. Made me wish to watch them moving like that as part of a world.
Also, it's always nice when animators go the extra mile to synch the actual music to the animation!

Extellus responds:

Carlonec is the fellow responsible for the music and I too think he did a fab job ^^

Heheh, as a relatively long time Mtg player it's cool to see some Magic related animations every once in a while!
Would be fun to see other themes such as more casual/multiplayer magic duels.
Animation was quite limited, but it serves its purpose, since the writing is more relevant in this case.

Wondermeow responds:

Glad you enjoy it ^^

Coolibert shapes!; maybe the triangle one was the most "complete" one, but they all merged together on an unexpectedly entertaining shape sandwich. Also, the sound work is probably the best I've heard in your animations so far, it really helps setting the mood.

On a sidenote I honestly though this was going to be 5 seconds long, maybe I should do my homework...
Also, hands are a pain 50% of the time...
Where's my quote?

Leí "DibujitosWeones" y pensé, "OH, un chileno!"
Hahah, buen trabajo señor, creo que la experiencia es bastante familiar!

DibujitosWeones responds:

jajaja, es bastante familiar

The camera work was great this time; I really liked the take where the character pulls out his sword; even if he doesn't use it at the end, hahah.
Since I've been through the though time trials of NATA aswell, there's really no point on mentioning the frame-rate, which worked pretty well after all.
Another superb animation!

StejkRobot responds:

Thanks butz! yeah i had some things in mind for the sword but it became a "snakes on a plane, pick the gun up, say something and then put the gun back" scene haha just to make it dramatic..
Get pumped for the results tonight dude!

Great work Hikarian (and Cromagg and Stejk, both superb Nata contestants)!.

I can tell this theme as a whole has a HUGE potential to be covered by animation.
The amount of symbolism is enourmous (and could be potentially bigger).
Probably the plan was to keep it short for this web-friendly format, but I can't help but think about a ton of additional 'symbolism' that could be added; maybe the pirate guys could've tried to persuade the man with a ton of free stuff, or another sort of monster could've appeared. Of course that's only a reflection.

Nice to see NG tank at the end :)

Hikarian responds:

Thanks and oh yeah, there are so many more possibilities!
I had had the idea for a while, and decided to use it when our YouTube network arranged a Webby Awards collab, but we only had around 14 days to put it together, so I had to make the storyboard/animatic in two days in order to get the others properly in on it. But there are a loooot of things that I would've liked to add as well-- I mean it's the Internet, you could make a whole series around that theme!

Helloe! I'm a 2D Animator from Chile, and sometimes Game Developer (actually, Newgrounds got me into animation!) I post some personal cartoons and drawings every once in a while! Cheese and lizards are cool too. Bzzzztt!!
